Sookie Stackhouse Series - Popular Best Selling Book Collection Which Made It To HBO

The Sookie Stackhouse Series is a collection of well-known bestselling stories written by author Charlaine Harris. The bestsellers in this particular series were traditionally also referred to as The Southern Vampire Mysteries and were first put in print back in 2001. The HBO aired series named True Blood is based off from the Sookie Stackhouse Series. Considering their primary publication span, the novels have since been republished and are described as the True Blood Series to capitalize on the successes of the HBO adaptation.

The series, regardless if referred to by any one of these three different names, presently consist of 12 book titles including:
* Dead Until Dark
* Living Dead in Dallas
* Club Dead
* Dead To The World
* Dead As A Doornail
* Definitely Dead
* All Together Dead
* From Dead To Worse
* Dead and Gone
* Dead in the Family
* Dead Reckoning
* Deadlocked

There is even a supplementary book called The Sookie Stackhouse Companion which contains a novella called "Small Town Wedding" and which features the names of Sookie, Quinn, and Sam.

The leading personality in the fictive book collection is called Sookie Stackhouse. Sookie does cocktail waitressing in a modest Louisiana village known as Bon Temps. Nonetheless, living in a village will never make Sookie your common girl, as she obtains the special capability of being able to read people's heads. Being telepathic, when Sookie actually confronts a guy whose thoughts she can't read, she is aroused because this is one thing she's been awaiting. His name is Bill, but he is not exactly the kid next door, he's a vampire.

According to the writer Charlaine Harris, such novels incorporate a variety of elements featuring romance, mystery, adventure, as well as the supernatural. Harris originally signed on to only create 10 novels for the Sookie Stackhouse Series, but as a result of the increasing success of the novels, she has agreed to write a supplemental three, two of which have at the moment been publicized. The last planned story of the collection is to be named Dead Ever After. The latest novel may tentatively be released in May of the year 2013.

This vampire series was written well ahead of the famous Twilight novels, so it is solely right that they would most likely come back into the spot just after the vampire rage has hit. Already, there have been five seasons of the HBO series True Blood aired. In those novels and in the series spawned from them, you would meet multiple personalities like vampires, humans, fairies, Wiccans, witches, telepaths, Britlingens, Maenads, Fae Creatures, demons, elves, and goblins. Each of these vibrant characters reside in the universe that comes alive throughout the Sookie Stackhouse Series of novels.

Charlaine Harris has also written numerous other narratives and novellas (other than the earlier in this article specified companion book) that are based upon the novel collection or particular personalities from the books. Harris even publicized a holiday themed narrative based upon the Sookie Stackhouse Series in the beloved Glamour magazine in December of 2012 titled "A Very Vampire Christmas".

If you're into the popular vampire trend, fantasy novels, or solely like an excellent book you can absolutely sink your teeth into, the Sookie Stackhouse Series offers readers a ton of action packed reading.
